We live within the ceaseless flow of time, where every life—our own, those that might have been born, and those already lost—inevitably drifts toward disappearance and forgetfulness. Even so, there remains a radiance and tenderness in the beings and memories we wish to stitch and hold onto. The work reflects a spirit of acceptance: that even modern humanity, possessing power great enough to rival nature, is ultimately nothing more than a part of it.
This installation reconfigures the stage set of the performance “Sew on Shadows” into an interactive, experiential space. The entire room is conceived as a single hourglass—one that cannot be turned over, yet allows visitors to scoop up the fallen sand with their own hands, gently keeping the flow of time connected. Short performances are held at regular intervals transforming the meaning and atmosphere of the space.
