Everyone has probably seen it at least once — a scene where someone attacks a faceless, unseen person. That “someone” could be anyone; the more difficult they are to confront, the more thrilling and intense it becomes. But is that “someone” truly a stranger, completely unrelated to oneself? Perhaps they are a being inseparably intertwined with one’s own self. In this work, the entity revealed after driving out the faceless figure invites the viewer to reconsider the relationship between the one being pointed at — and oneself.

This work is an interactive installation in which the viewer drives out a faceless “someone” to their destination with their fingertip, peeling away their veil in the process. The act of driving out this faceless figure involves tracing a path reflected in a mirror—one that resists control and rarely moves as intended. What awaits at the end of that path? When the faceless “someone” is finally revealed through the viewer’s touch, the relationship between subject and object is reconstructed.
