This work explores the nature of identity by confronting the listener with an unsettling paradox: a phone call with "another you" who speaks in your own voice. This contradictory experience, where the familiar marker of self—the voice—is decoupled from one's own thoughts and values, raises a fundamental question: "What truly makes me, me?" By engaging in a dialogue at the boundary of self and non-self, the installation acts as a device for rediscovery. It suggests that our irreplaceable existence is defined not by voice alone, but by a unique convergence of will, memory, and meaning.
Pick up the receiver to begin a phone call. The voice you hear is your own, but it belongs to "another you" from a multiverse. In this trans-dimensional conversation, you can share your inner conflicts or listen to tales of success and regret from a life you never lived. At the end of the call, a receipt is printed, providing a physical memento of your ephemeral conversation. This unique interaction allows you to explore the story of the you you are—and the you you are not.
